I have been very pleased

"I have been very pleased with this purchase. I have always loved the feel and look of heavier stoneware dishes but was tired of chips and the finish wearing off in the dishwasher. I also wanted something lighter in weight due to arthritis in my hands. I also needed something that would coordinate with pieces I already own in more muted ivory and beige tones. This pattern works well. I ordered 3 sets so I have service for 12 and all pieces came well packed, and there are no imperfections. Also loved that it came with just dinner plates, salad plates and bowls as I have plenty of cups and mugs and did not need more!"

I have been using Corelle

"I have been using Corelle for years. I love the durability and light weight of the pieces. I do wish they had other colors and patterns that were similar to other brands. But, the pros list for these dishes will always make Corelle the best choice for my home."

"Love my new dishes. They came all in one piece and are perfect. Love the color and how they feel. Lightweight bad durable!"

The new plates arrived, but

"The new plates arrived, but they seem to have a film on them so we have to wash all of them before we use them. The edges are very wavy on the square plates. The trim color on the bowls might look better with the darker color. I love the funky pattern. I actually hadn’t noticed that the salad plates are different than the dinner plates not just in size but in pattern. These colors go great with my new kitchen! I like the square shape, but I’m concerned with the depth of the plate. Time will tell."

I love Corelle and have

"I love Corelle and have had numerous sets over the years. I ordered the Hushed Lines because I wanted something a little more muted, yet classy. The gold ties in with accents in my kitchen. I would've given 5 stars, except the pattern varied in darkness in the 4 full sets I ordered. The pattern also is not uniform with closer the edge on one side and farther away on the opposite edges. There is lack of quality control."

Nice but design is very

"Nice but design is very subdued and faint compared to pictures of it on your website."

Q&A

Is this new set of Corelle Hushed Lines certified lead free?
Hello, We are very proud of our Corelle products, which are made of Vitrelle, a tempered glass consisting of glass laminated into three layers. Corelle was first introduced by Corning over 50 years ago and in 2000 started to be manufactured by the company known today as Corelle Brands. All Corelle products meet the safety standards at the time of manufacturing. As manufacturing and regulatory practices have evolved, so have Corelle products. We routinely test Corelle products for lead and cadmium contents at internationally recognized, third-party testing laboratories. This testing confirms that our products comply with applicable federal and state safety regulations. Corelle dinnerware has come in many different patterns over the years since it was first introduced by Corning and continued with Instant Brands, and many vintage/legacy pieces have become cherished collectors’ items. Before 2000, and before tighter lead content safety regulations, a small amount of lead was an ingredient in the decorating process of many household products. Instant Brands has conducted additional testing with an outside laboratory to determine whether vintage Corelle products made before 2000 comply with today’s consumer [your] expectations as to safety and whether it’s ok to use them as everyday dinnerware. The Company selected multiple patterns of vintage Corelle products, dating back to 1978 for testing. The food surface contact testing was designed to identify whether any small amount of lead that may have existed in pre-2000 manufactured Corelle product leaches from the product in amounts above today’s acceptable lead-safety regulations. The small amount of lead used in decorations pre-2000 was encapsulated in glass before and after the decoration was applied to product and fired to above 750C. The Corelle manufacturing process has always encapsulated decoration in glass, using extremely high processing temperatures to ensure the glass decorations are sealed, which prevents food contact and intentionally decreases the extent of any lead migration to food. The testing confirms that the vintage products tested comply with current FDA lead-safety regulations – so feel free to use them for everyday dinnerware.
